Provides information, day-to-day assistance, and emotional support. Day-to-day assistance is provided through programs like I Can Cope, Hope Lodge, Look GoodFeel Better and Road to Recovery. Look GoodFeel Better is a free workshop facilitated by trained licensed beauty professionals who teach women with cancer how to understand and care for changes in skin and hair that may occur during treatment. Through Road to Recovery, trained volunteers provide free transportation for patients to and from their cancer-related treatments. They offer emotional support through programs like Reach to Recovery and Cancer Survivors Network. In the Reach to Recovery program, trained breast cancer survivors provide support to newly diagnosed women with breast cancer. In additional, your American Cancer Society can provide financial assistance for patients who qualify for a Homemaker Grant. The American Cancer Society also has special services for children with cancer and their families, including literature, Teen Look Good feel Better, and a Patient Navigator at Children's Hospiital in Philadelphia.

Our goals are to strengthen families and assist individuals toward personal growth and greater independence, establish ongoing, therapeutic relationships that strengthen the community, and nurture in our clients a sense of appreciation and a desire to help others. Our services include: free breakfast and lunch, groceries, clothing, diapers, baby formula, assistance and referrals, bilingual outreach services, parenting workshops, and outreach to those unable to come to the Day Room. We work with other agencies to provide on-site substance abuse support, employment counseling and training, homeless case management, and assistance for new immigrant families with children.
