Provides practical information designed to improve the quality of life for local residents in conjunction with Penn State University.

Program provides free nutrition programs to adults (parents, grandparents, guardians, foster parents) who care for children and meet income eligibility for Free/Reduced School Meals, SNAP, WIC, Food Pantry Boxes, or Medicaid. The program is free and includes lessons on meal planning, portion control, shopping on a budget, food safety and cooking. Participants receive incentive kitchen and shopping items such as a meat thermometer, measuring cups, magnetic shopping list and cook books. Also provides a youth programing series to youth groups such as the YMCA, Salvation Army, school based, and after school programs. Call your local Nutrition Links coordinator to inquire about program participation. The Lycoming County office serves Lycoming County.

Free nutrition education for mothers of young children with low-income and limited resource.

Provides a modern educational organization dedicated to delivering science-based information to people, businesses, and communities. Provides access to face-to-face and online education to consumers to help them address problems and take advantage of opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Offers free nutrition educatin programs to participants to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to acieve a healthful diet on a liminted budget.

Provides instruction in food and budgeting for meals, meal planning, and nutrition.

Provides instruction in family and consumer science related subjects including food safety.

Nutrition education and food resource management education for the resource stressed SNAP-ED eligible audience.

Offers families and youth with limited resources FREE research-based lessons designed to help them develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve a healthful diet on a limited budget.

Penn State Extension program specilizes in secondary education and graduate studies in agriculture and community development. Also provides 4-H program for children.

Promotes technical assistance and educational programmming on cardiovascular disease, risk factors, signs of a heart attack or stroke, prevention strategies, and when to call 911. A particular emphasis is placed on reaching disparate populations. Promotes the American Heart Asssociation CPR Anytime kit through presentations in community settings or worksites. Promotes and/or hosts online continuing education webinars for healthcare professionals. Provides educational programs on the Food Guide pyramid, BMI (body mass index), Food label reading, and the importance of exercise. Promotes and provides workplace wellness programs that encourage environmental and systems changes that reduce cardiovascular risks.

A nurse-managed health center that provides provides a wide variety of services to children, teens and adults. Services include:

Six-week in school and after school program for teens offering nutritional and fitness information, self-esteem reinforcement and social support. The class addresses the daily challenges faces by teenagers via discussion, as well as hands-on nutrition lessons, cooking demonstrations and fun phyical activities.

One-week summer intensive for students who are interested in preparing healthy snacks and light meals. A registered dietician leads nutrition and cookins sessions. Crafts and other fun activities are also included.

Six-week program designed to help children and their families develop healthy eating habits from the start. A registered dietician educates the adults while the children participate in fun, hands-on activities that teach healthy eating and encourage physical activity.

Eight-week, evidence based group program that promotes healthier lifestyle for children and their families. Each evening class is divided into three segments: nutrition, physical activity, and support. Classes are guided by certified professionals in nutrition, counseling, and fitness.
