The Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act (QHWRA) of 1998 authorizes our Section 8 program to admit only families whose incomes do not exceed the very low-income limit (50% of area median income) once it has met the annual 75% targeting income requirement of extremely low-income families (those whose incomes do not exceed 30% of median income).
