The classes are designed to offer support for first time parents as well as parents with children of various ages. Evidence-based curriculum is taught to help individuals strengthen their parenting skills by discussing topics such as baby's first month, nutrition, safe sleep, building relationships, sibling rivalry, and so on.The support groups offer a place where individuals can meet other parents, develop friendships and leadership skills, obtain resources, receive diapers and other baby supplies, and develop skills to become a stronger, more resilient family unit. Events and workshops are held throughout the year including an annual baby shower, which is open to the community, to support individuals who are pregnant or have children under one year old. The goal of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to help individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness to recover hopes and dreams for self-determination, build the strengths and skills necessary, and take steps towards achieving these dreams. To achieve these goals, the IOP will empower participants to support their own recovery, cope more effectively with and manage their symptoms, prevent relapse, manage stress in healthy ways, and strengthen social relationships. The IOP will provide group therapy, as well as linkages to individual therapy and psychiatric services for medication management, with a focus on hope, empowerment, choice, and partnership. Specialized clinical resources for people who have experienced trauma and/or who have substance abuse disorders will address the particular needs of these participants. Specialized clinical resources for young adults and those with developmental disabilities will address these participants’ particular needs. The IOP will strive to create a collaborative network with participants, family members, case management services and other service providers.

Adolescent Crisis Services consist of two programs: the first is a Family Preservation Program of intensive counseling and support delivered in the homes of families with adolescents who are at imminent risk of being placed outside of their homes. The second program is the Adolescent Intervention Program that conducts all of the activities of the Family Preservation Program; however, the identified child must be an adolescent who is being transitioned from a juvenile probation placement. The goal is to remove the risk of placement (or return to placement) of the adolescent by concentrating on the strengths of the family while trying to reduce the negative interactions taking place within the family system.
