Provides information and support concerning mental and emotional illnesses, primarily at no cost. This includes guidance to mental health services, education, family and individual advocacy; as well as referrals to local psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and therapists. Offers advocacy and PEER support for individuals with a mental illness- including this support for family members. No diagnosis required- we can help you obtain one. Presentations and education offered for schools, clubs, employers, businesses and community groups on anything related to mental health. Makes referrals for anger management and community support groups. Free Mental Health Support Groups. Leads the Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition. Ask about the financial assistance programs currently available through MHA and its' partners, as well as programs for working/non-working residents who don't have access to employer assistance plans.
