Supervises and manages adult criminal offenders for the Court of Common Pleas of Crawford County and other jurisdictions upon special request.

Crime and delinquency prevention delivered through services consistent with Pennsylvania's Balanced and Restorative Justice Model. Community Protection, Youth Redemption, and Victim Restoration are the three key components of this model. Cumberland County Juvenile Probation serves those referred to the juvenile justice system through programs such as community based probation, electronic home monitoring, victim awareness classes, Youth Aid Panel, community based restitution and community service programs, residential placement and secure confinement.

Provides direct supervision to juveniles who have committed delinquent acts under the age of 18. Receives complaints and allegations from police departments and District Magistrates in Erie County.

Collects and disburses court ordered fines, costs, and restitution for adult and juvenile cases.

Franklin County Juvenile Probation, under the direction and guidance of the 39th Judicial District of Pennsylvania provides probation services to Franklin County youth who fall within the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court under Chapter 63 of the Pennsylvania Criminal Code. The Franklin County Juvenile Probation Department is located at 425 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in the Franklin County Human Services Building.

The Juvenile Probation Department provides general probation supervision, school-based probation supervision, aftercare supervision and victim services. Probation Officers also facilitate numerous diversion and intervention groups to address youth needs.
Juveniles are referred to the Franklin County Juvenile Probation Department by law enforcement agencies and other juvenile courts. Private citizens, in certain circumstances, may refer a juvenile by scheduling an appointment at the District Attorney's Office and discussing any allegations of delinquency. Those cases are submitted and approved through the District Attorney's Office.

The Franklin County Juvenile Probation Officers are appointed by the President Judge of Franklin County Court. The officers are committed to providing community protection, youth accountability and victim restoration through the use of evidence based practices, data driven decisions, and continuous quality improvement. The Juvenile Probation Department consists of the Chief, three supervisors, sixteen Probation Officers, a Balanced and Restorative Justice Coordinator, and three support staff. All Juvenile Officers are required to have a Bachelor's Degree. Several officers have a Master's Degree or are currently in graduate school through the JCJC Graduate Program.

Victim Services in Franklin County help to make the entire Juvenile Justice process more understandable and less stressful for the victims and witnesses of juvenile crime. To this end, the Victims' Services Coordinator is the advocate and guide for victims and witnesses as their case makes its way through the Juvenile Justice System.

Provides various supervision and probationary programs to those directed by the court.

Prepares pre-sentence reports for the courts and collects fines, costs and restitution.

Supervises youths and families. Caseworkers develop a treatment plan to help the client and the client's family work out their problems. Makes progress reports to the court and recommendations on sentencing and probation.

Provides individualized wraparound services to justice-involved women to help them with meet basic needs, find employment, and access stable housing. Provides comprehensive case management services.

Supervises adult and juvenile offenders granted probation by the courts. Youth Aid Panels members participate in a problem-solving process and offer a plan to address the juvenile's wrongdoing. They provide guidance to that juvenile in an attempt to curtail any future delinquent acting out. They also provide the victim with a community forum to assist with reparation. Youth Aid Panels take justice out of the courtroom and place it in the community, giving all those involved, the offender, the victim, and the community, more input in the outcome of the case.

Parole
is a conditional release of an offender who has served part of their sentence in prison to serve the balance of the sentence under the supervision of a Parole Officer.

Offers parole planning and investigation, collects court-ordered monies, and manages the supervision, surveillance, and enforcement of Court-ordered conditions for offenders.

Carries out court order to supervise adjudicated juveniles age 10 to 18 years in a community setting under the principles of balanced and restorative justice.

Supervises adult and juvenile offenders as an alternative to imprisonment or placement in juvenile facilities. Probation officers help guide offenders to become productive community members while being supervised and subject to conditions imposed by the county and commonwealth.

In-Home Detention
Located in Philadelphia, youth in this program receive 22 to 25 hours of community based activities per week as well as intensive supervision. Activities are designed to develop competencies, provide education, foster victim awareness and protect the community utilizing BARJ (Balanced And Restorative Justice) principles. Activities include sessions focusing on drug and alcohol issues, sexual health, career development, community resources, and skill development. Additionally, all youth participate in activities coordinated in conjunction with Philadelphia organizations and grassroots efforts. Youth workers monitor school attendance and curfew, and report adjustment and recommendations back to the court.

School Based Social Services
Services are delivered by Resource Specialists in schools located in the Central Region of the Philadelphia School District. Short term case management, brief intervention, and crisis stabilization supports are provided. Youth are identified by school personnel and display or are at risk of developing behavioral health needs. Operating in the school setting helps to facilitate coordination between behavioral health and education and fosters a team approach to working with youth and families. Youth and families are linked with appropriate supportive services.

Community Based Residential Detention
These services are provided in Philadelphia at two staff secured short term residential facilities for adjudicated youth awaiting disposition by the court system. The two facilities are the Firehouse, which is an all boys residential facility and Henry House, which is an all girls residential facility. While in placement, youth receive counseling, medical and dental care, case management services, court representation and life skill supports.

Delinquent Services to Children in their Own Homes (SCOH)
Case management support is provided in Pennsylvania for youth and families to address the issues that contribute to delinquent behaviors. This program provides an average of three hours direct service per week in the home, school and community setting. Services focus on issues identified in the Family Service Plans as developed by the Probation Officer. NET's case managers provide assistance to youth and families to help them identify community resources, gain access to necessary services and develop educational goals. The case managers also monitor school attendance/performance and develop a restitution plan when appropriate.

Counsels and supervises youth who are referred by local police departments as a result of having committed a crime, either a misdemeanor or a felony. Also ensures that youth receive appropriate treatment and services to repair harm and build competencies.
