The Breastfeeding Resource Center's Professional Services include: - Weight Checks: Baby's weight and other vital breastfeeding information gathered and faxed to the baby's physician. - Lactation Consultation: An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) observes and evaluates a feeding, develops a care plan for mother and baby and sends a report to the primary health care provider. - Follow-Up Consultation: Fine-tunes the initial care plan and reinforces feelings of success. - Breastfeeding "Check-ups": Moms can take time to talk to an IBCLC to gain confidence in their breastfeeding experience. - Back-to-Work Consultation: Mother works with an IBCLC to tailor a plan that fits her individual needs.
