Senior Centers are located throughout the County. They were designed to bring older adults together for nutritional purposes and have expanded their roles to fulfil social, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs. Activities vary from center to center, although nutritional meals, educational presentations, movies, trips, volunteer opportunities, social services, and transportation are central to each.

Registered nurses, licensed by the Common Wealth of Pennsylvania, are able to work with a client every step of the way providing: Case management and assessment to determine level of care; supervision of direct care workers; client education and instruction regarding the disease process; nutritional counseling; emergency care visits; social service referrals; and 24/7 on call for medical questions.

Seeds of Hope is an Intensive Outpatient Program specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Our staff consists of Licensed Professional Counselors and Nutritionists and Dietitians who specialize in the treatment of eating disorders. Clients are supported four times a week by using a multimodal approach consisting of Process Group Therapy, Family Therapy and Educational Nutrition Counseling. These groups reduce isolation and secrecy, help identify and express feelings, and develop more effective ways of coping. A therapeutic meal is included which our clients make at home and eat together with our staff. Our groups maintain a small census to ensure optimum therapeutic support. Psychiatric services are provided to evaluate the benefits or need for medication management. Clients who already have a psychiatrist are welcome to a second opinion if they should choose to do so.Clients typically attend 18-24 group sessions over the course of 4-6 weeks.
