Financial support may be provided for purchase of supplies and services, home modifications, assistive devices and respite care.The Intergenerational Family Caregiver Support Program is a reimbursement program for a grandparent, step-grandparent of a child, or a relative of a child by blood or marriage who is: 60 years of age or older and lives with the child, the child's primary caregiver because the biological or adoptive parents are unable to serve as the primary caregiver, has a legal custody or guardianship or is raising the child informally, and the child is 18 years of age or younger. Family Group Decision-Making allows family members as defined by the consumer the option of becoming involved with the consumer's care needs, and to assist them in developing strong supports that meet their needs. This program is an opportunity to allow our consumers and family members to be empowered to make the decisions and changes necessary to keep our consumers safe and ensure their needs are being met.
