Wayne County Housing - Rapid Rehousing Program
Wayne County residents in need of assistance to rapidly rehouse the household after homelessness. The goal is to enable households to move into permanent housing, either market rate or subsidized, and providing the household with the short-term rental assistance, housing relocation, and stabilization services needed to prevent a return to homelessness.
Eligibility: Household lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, i.e. Has a primary nighttime residence that is a public/private place not meant for human habitation, living in a shelter designated to provide temporary living arrangements, exiting an institution where they have resided for 90 days or less and who resided in an emergency shelter or place not meant for human habitation immediately before entering that institution.

Intake Procedure: All referrals must come through 2-1-1. Once the referral is received, our agency will reach out if resources are available.
