Program requires 2-1/2 years of in-house treatment, followed by 5 years of follow-up counseling. All treatment is provided by trained, qualified ex-addicts.

As part of its community outreach, Hogar Crea will provide the following services to persons in need:
- moving assistance
- home remodeling
- gardening
- electrical work
Requests for service should be submitted at least 1-2 weeks in advance so the director can establish a work plan for the residents. Only "manpower" is provided, the agency does not have access to a truck.

Provides limited financial aid (as funding is available) for partial rental assistance, first months rent and water assistance in emergency situations on a case by case basis. Rent can not be more than one month behind. Water can not have a shut off notice or owe more that $500. Does not cover the full amount owed. One time payment.

Provides utilities assistance.

42 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom apartments for residents 62 years of age and older. On-site Supportive Services provided. Smoke free site. Rent includes electric, heat, air conditioning, water, sewer, trash removal. Accepts Section 8.

Provides grants to maintain individuals in permanent residence, assists with transition to alternate housing, and moves individuals into housing from shelters.

Provides assistance for utility shut off or when utility is off, fuel oil, and prescriptions.

Provides rent payment assistance through SG-CV funds.

Provides one-time assistance grants to FirstEnergy customers that are applied directly to their utility bill. Funding is available on a first come, first serve basis, and eligibility requirements vary based on the utility company.

Provides services for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Services include: Student Assistance Programs, Casemanagement, Inpatient Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Halfway House, Partial Hospitalization, Outpatient Counseling, Information Regarding HIV/AIDS as well as Treatment Programs designed specifically for pregnant women and women with children.

Programs that provide financial assistance for people who are at risk for having their utilities shut off; offer discounted utility services; provide disconnection protection; arrange for notification regarding pending disconnection; make available special services such as large print utility bills or levalized energy bill payment arrangements which support people's ability to make their payments; or supply wood, propane, butane or other fuel for heating or cooking purposes in situations where people have no other means of acquiring them. Utility assistance programs may have age, income, disability, need or other eligibility requirements.

Provides financial assistance for a one-time rent payment, security deposit, and/or mortgage payment to resolve arrearages or move into another unit due to homelessness. Funding is limited and available on a first come first serve basis.

Families and individuals are provided with basic human services in crisis situations, such as housing and utility payments, lodging, occasional prescriptions, and emergency vouchers for food and gasoline. Each request is considered on a first-come and individual-needs basis.

Catholic Charities will provide emergency fuel/utility assistance to residents of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, depending on availability of funding. Catholic Charities will prioritize emergency fuel/utility assistance to the following groups

• Families with young children
• Elderly
• Families/Individuals on a fixed income (from governmental sources)
• Individuals with physical or mental disabilities

Exceptions may be granted for special circumstances.
Utility (water, gas, electricity, etc.) assistance will be available at any time.
Approved fuel/utility payments are made directly to the vendor, not the client.
Catholic Charities is NOT able to assist with security deposits on utilities, or payments toward outstanding utility bills from previous addresses.

Provides assistance for food and utilities if funds are available.

Provides financial assistance for basic utilities, fuel, and housing costs. Also available to assist individuals in accessing the following programs:

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP);
PPL Operation Help; Public assistance (food stamps, medical assistance, cash assistance);
and FEMA Funding (housing and utility costs).

Provides a coordinated assistance program to eligible Bucks County tenants impacted by COVID-19. Effective 4/10/2023, eligible tenants can receive 5 total months of financial assistance, including utilities, with up to 2 months of prospective rent assistance. Applicants will have the ability to re-apply to receive 5 total months of financial assistance. Eligible applicants with a court-filed Landlord/Tenant case may be eligible for additional assistance.

Provides occasional emergency assistance such as help with rent, utilities, heating fuel, food and clothing on a case by case basis contingent upon available funds. Does not provide assistance for rent deposit/security.

- Operation HELP: Pays electric bills for eligible customers. Low income PPL customers. OpHELP is administered by CAP.
- OnTrack: A special payment plan that offers reduced monthly payments, protection from shutoffs and debt forgiveness. For residential customers who are struggling to pay their bills. OnTrack is administered by CAP.
- Customer Assistance & Referral Evaluation Service (CARES): A personalized service for customers experiencing bill payment problems due to temporary hardship.
- Rebates and Savings Programs: Offers programs to help customers save energy.

Optional billing programs include:
- Budget billing which allows customers to pay about the same monthly amount all year long
- Automatic Bill Payment Plan offers customers the option of automatic deduction of the bill from a checking or
savings account on their monthly due date.
- Payment Date Extension Plan allows customer to extend the due date of the electric bill to coincide with their monthly pension/social security check.
- Double Notice Protection Plan enables customers to arrange for an individual or social service agency to receive a copy of all overdue or termination notices to alleviate problems.
PPL is regulated by the Public Utility Commission

Provides assistance in the form of labor and supplies to individuals who need to make major repairs to their homes, or upgrade/replace entire systems to eliminate health and safety hazards (such as gas leaks, outdated or hazardous electrical wiring, and plumbing), or to improve security by installing fences or fixing/replacing broken doors or windows.

Provides food assistance, energy assistance, direct counseling referrals, programs for children/WIC, educational programs, holiday programs/adoptions, Ready2Learn program, and a summer day camp.

Provides home repairs and limited modifications (excluding chair lifts/inclinators) to low-income homeowners. Repairs are made mostly by volunteers and some contractors.
